25 candles by Azlan Malek

Best Birthday Ever made possible by lovely family and friends. This would exactly be the kind of setting we would've done for our wedding if we could. The biggest thank yousss go to super great little sister who was solely responsible for all the planning and decorations turning the dinner party as pretty as it was, best husband in the world for setting up and all the hard labour :P, dearest mother for all the good good food and last but not least, the best coolest young at heart father in the world for funding and making the night even possible to begin with. Birthday girl loves you guys terribly much it hurts.

25 candles: the sweets

The sour pie by you know who :P

and that last slice of boston cream pie goes to....

We had a total of 4 cakes made by really awesome bakers for the party and wouldn't have had it any other way. Putting my sour pie aside, the rest of the desserts were top notched, my hats off to the 2 bakers, aishah nordin of That Last Slice and, Sharifah Aliyyah of My Little Oven. I slept with a slice of Velvet Rouge on my bedside. Heavenly.

Day 22.

Started on Little Hoppers & Skippers Quilt today and managed to finish the quilt top. yeay me! They turned out even better than i imagined. Stay tuned. I'm well aware that the year in pictures project consist a lot of "domestic" photographs, but what can I say, that's what I do most of the time. We're not very hip and happening people, our life is pretty quiet and mellow and the only loud thing that can be heard in the household is the sound of my voice. :D

Hope to bake another pie tomorrow. A certain lovely people are throwing a super cute dinner party for my birthday. This people made this world indeed a beautiful and happy place to live in.

Day 20. Million little pieces

We purchased and collected loads of home goods including assorted little Laura Ashley teacups during our 2 months stay in Melbourne. Had all stuff shipped to Malaysia only to have me found 2 of these darling teacups broken to pieces. Our heart's broken to million little pieces to see them in this condition. Sorry those transporters were not very kind to you (some people are just simply not very nice), and sorry we never got a chance to know each other, and sorry we won't be having one of those dinner party sessions together.
RIP cuppies.

A fine romance.

Watching Julie & Julia on a rainy gloomy day. bliss. Surrounded by thousands and thousands of yards of fabrics. bliss. Sorting and Organizing those thousands of fabrics, not so much, but still blissful, coz they're purttty.

We miss our memory card reader. where are thou?
Despite the absence, I still shoot photographs daily.

Heart-lovin'

Told Him about the amazing work IRENE SUCHOCKI does especially the effects produced in them
. Took a short nap and I woke up to find him making the lense filter so that I could produce these effects in my images. I'll give him a million hugs n kisses for this little act. Would love to go out right this minute so that I could take more of these heart-loving images

Day 16. First solid

Our baby girl is a big girl now. Little S had her first solid and was fed by EVERY member of the family. Eating almost a full small bowl of organic brown rice and banana is what she was born to do, piece of cake!

Wonderful Fantastical March

It's been half way into March and it has been nothing short of amazin'. Thank you March for being so wonderful and Thank you Lord for blessing us with all these joy. I have a feeling it'll get even better insyallah. And on another related note of the amazingness of March, someone turns 25 on the 31st. And that someone is being celebrated tonight, hence that someone baked Pie.

bread & butter pudding

They taste so good and combined with the vanilla sauce, Oh. Em. Gee. If only it rained otherwise it would have been such a perfect evening. Super disappointed as I didn't manage to snap the final product as I was late and rushing to get them to mama's place by tea time. Will make them again in the nearest future and will shoot them then. Next up, Pie.

Day 12. Meet your new home

Our babies have got themselves a brand new home. We got them a massive home so that they'd be really organized still stay pretty while they're at it. And also to accommodate the very many additions in the near future. We're super excited for them, can u tell? :P Will definitely give our personal touches to their new home by painting them so that the new home would show their true characters and personalities. In case you don't already know what we meant, hope this would help.

by our babies, we meant our Fabrics
by our babies' new home, we meant their new Shelf
:D

whimsigirl is now on facebook too!

new york, new york

We've been camping out in our living room since last few days like 6 years old, just thought it would be a fun change. Since our night-in plan last night was a bust, we were determined to do it tonight. Watched New York I Love You in the chilly rainy night while indulging ourselves to scrumptious hot apple pie and chocolate ice cream sundae and now i could sleep happy and dream of beautiful things. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Let's hope next weekend would be as lovely. If you have nothing planned, Now is as good time as any to plan something, urm maybe not NOW, but tomorrow is ok too.

Day 11. Movie and Them

Had drinks and a movie with Him and the gang. Alice and Oz have been the 2 scariest movie of my childhood, they give me the creeps i swear. But today I must say I was not as scared as I used to be, The movie was quite lovely. The chilled and simple weekend I anticipated turned out just the way I hoped it would.

Day 10. Movie Nite, NOT

It's been a lovely start to a beautiful weekend so far. Had a quiet chilly Saturday. Early breakfast, afternoon naps, banana leaf for dinner, and last but not least, late night home movie. We're all set and just as I was about to write this post, the entire neighbourhood had an electricity black out. nice. Thank god for 3G broadband, otherwise I wouldn't be able to put up Day 10 photo before midnight. Electricity, come back, do not ruin people's weekend. Thank you.

Day 9

I've not cooked a single thing since I've been back. Whimsigirl has taken so much of my time that I've neglected my other love, cooking and baking, ESPECIALLY baking. Might just start doing it next week. hurm.
