Hair Art
Melbourne Foodie is Goodie
Sister and I have made a pact to visit as many quaint little cafes and restaurants around the city as possible. The little 'project' started yesterday. But I started documenting today.

Festive Weekend
Our cousin got engaged to a lovely girl and both parents threw spectacular ceremonies for 2 nights. A lavish Traditional Malay Affair at home & A festive Indian Affair at a private estate. Definitely one for the book as I got to play dress up! Jackie-O one night turned Indian Princess the other. Now if only I could dressed like these everyday. Hey, maybe I will. Oh and to prove the forgetfulness of this perasan "Indian Princess", I brilliantly put on 2 different earrings and went through all night without even knowing it.
Nice :)

Muskoka Berry Pie Quilt
Muskoka Berry Pie is finally up here for your viewing pleasure.
They were indeed inspired by the famous pie,
making it impossible to NOT think about desserts and pastries whenever I look at them.
Now that I've mentioned it, pancakes would be heavenly for now.
Gotta go make it, Bye.

Marigold On A Tree
Marigold On A Tree was done a little over 3 weeks ago.
They're the very first piece quilted by hand completely, and I love them to bits. It's very surprising to know I have that much patience to stitch the whole piece to begin with, more so when very recently I suspected that I might have A.D.D since a kid and don't even know it. haha. I guess I enjoyed the process so much, I don't even noticed how much time has passed.
Designing and Sewing make me happy and they keep me sane.

When the sun is scorching, you dance!
Had a short weekend trip to recuperate and enjoy some quality time together. And we sure did. Suuuuure the weather was scorching hot to a point I could almost melt, and Suuuure I whined at every chance I got, but then again, I got to play like little kids with HIM and HER. To say I had a fabulous time is a bit of an understatement.
During our little 'tour' around the city, lucky for us, they closed most of the roads and streets in the city for an event.
So what did we do, we danced. IN the middle of the street.

Vintage Bohemian In All It's Sweet Glory
This home studio of Tracy Nors is just sublime. They're heavenly and so full of character and not at all pretentious looking. Whimsy and just QUAINT! In fact this is almost what I had in mind for the Whimsigirl's studio, I could even spot few items that's already in current possession like the assorted chairs, rustic table, day bed, and the cute little cupboard. Now, this will give me the push to finish up designing & completing the home studio, for sure!
A glimpse of her home. I'm in Love.

During absense of camera and laptop, one shall just write.
Muskoka Berry Pie Quilt, DONE.
Marigold On A Tree Quilt, DONE.
Now I'm in need of Quilt railing/rack in the sewing room so that all the quilts shall be hung prettily and neatly. While we're at it, my babies will look good when they'd be photographed.

Berry Berry Pie
I was browsing through Marty's World Famous for recipes and yummy things to bake this week and I came across this amaaaaazing Muskoka Berry Pie. The berriesss, the colours, the texture, I could almost taste the sweetness, ahhhhhh, they're so perfect I could die in pastry heaven. Then it got me thinking on the upcoming design and sewing project. I was very much inspired by the pie and I thought, it only fits if I name the project..
MUSKOKA BERRY PIE

Here's the Muskoka Berry Pie Recipe.
If you're planning to bake it, do share how it turns out.

Peppermint Stripes Patchwork Quilt
Peppermint Stripes is done! This Quilt could very well serve many things, the Little One's Play Mat, Blankie, Crib's Bedding, Throw, and you name it, the possibility is endless. They're made of high end Cotton Flannel and American Cotton for the binding. They sure are one of a kind :) I dont know about you, but the flannel and the pastels somehow reminds me of the sweet and fluffy Cotton Candy. If I have a little one of my own, I could imagine wrapping the quilt around him/her and just snuggle him/her tightly one of those chilly nights. One can dream....
Now that I've mentioned Cotton Candy, need to go get me some of those.

Tiramisu.
I've promised in a previous post to post up the finished product of the next Tiramisu I shall make. To my surprise, the people that have tasted them were quite fond of them. Yeay me! Have gotten orders few times in the last couple of weeks. HE was a tad bit disappointed that I made so many and none of them can be eaten. And just for the record to clear things up before I sound like the evil wife that doesn't feed her husband, He's had his generous share of the Tiramisu I made many times before,

Them candy-like ribbons
These ribbons are my candy substitute. Somehow they kind of reflect back on your sense of style and personality. My candies are the Classic checkered kind with a touch of the Quirky kind. Which candy are YOU? The Sweet & Quirky Colorful kind? The Groovy Geometric kind? The Floral Boho kind? or The Girly Ruffles kind? and the list goes on.....
Today I learned this,
I'm an Oldie who likes things to be Classy & yet Whimsy.
Well what d'ya know bout that that :D

The 24 year old grandma on a rainy Friday
What does this girl do on a rainy Friday evening? Sorting and organizing over 100 yards of vintage trimmings that she purchased off a lovely grandma on ebay. I may be 24 but one part of me shyly and happily admits that she's old at heart :) Don't know what but there's something soothing and calming about these pretty things. I reckon it's the different shade of White, delicate materials and the intricate design, yeah, Definitely. Spending time with these babies shall make anyone feel like floating on clouds while eating yummy pastel cotton candy :)

The Domestic Queen
Cath Kidston is one of those designer that makes domestic living a dream. Looking at her fabrics, homewares and children wears would somehow elevate my mood and send me into another world, a domestic world in the 50s where all wives dressed up in pretty voluminous floral dresses with cute little shoes with hair all done up, bakes and cooks all day, have wonderful dinner parties, and sews everything everything around the house including their kids clothes and school projects. They're all just so pretty and dreamy. So you could imagine the delight i had when my sweet little sister surprised me with few little things from Ms Kidston's store during her recent trip to London. Sister cried when she was in Harrods' Laduree, and as for me, I cried when I got my hands on Kidston's floral sewing kit.
THIS exact sewing kit.
Oh how peachy things would be if I could have these things....
The fabrics that I could sew my apron, baby's crib set & little girl's dress with.
The tins that I would put pretty Hydrangeas and Tea Leaves in.
The butter dish i would use during breakfast on Sundays with Him.
The Long Leg Onesie the little one shall sleep in.
The little teddy that would keep the little one company.
Or this little teddy if it's a Boy.
A girl could dream
