By the time I was done with some work n chores, It rained. Pouring Rain. What better time to curl up in your pjs with a good cup of cocoa and butter cookies, reading a good book. And I did just that :)

We've been blessed with rainy and cold weather lately, very unlike KL. But I'm secretly enjoying it, reminds me of the lovely Melbourne weather, only minus the humidity :) Miss.

First Dinner Party

My family and I have always love to entertain at home. Any excuse to have a party. Now that Him and I have our own place, somehow it became even more exciting of course. Planning the entire menu concept, the look of the party, the decorating, cooking and baking gave me such brain rush and I'll get giddy just thinking of it. To have a pretty looking dinner party doesn't always have to hurt your bank. Just rummage through and use the things lying around your home then throw them all together to give your party a little sumtin' sumtin' :)
And not forgetting one crucial element that never fail to work and work wonders, FLOWERS! I'd prefer fresh, but fake flowers gets the job done too! I always tell myself these few little words, they're not applied to just planning a dinner party, they're applied in other aspects in my life too.

Butter Cookies a.k.a Samperit

It's that time of the year again!

I could smell Eid even when it's still days away.. Especially with the smell of fresh homemade cookies.. Made this Butter Cookies or as we Malaysian call it, Samperit. Searched around for few recipes and with that I made few modification following Aunty Rohaya's tips, and there I have, the creamiest & buttery cookies that just melt in your mouth. The pain I endured pressing the cookie dough doesn't seem so painful anymore, especially after I tasted these babies. And also, they're just the prettiest little thing. Need to make few more batches of these cookies for Mama. Let's hope they still taste the same by the 3rd,4th,5th batch :D

Baby steps.

Yes. I'm Married.
Has been for 7 months or so. And it's been everything i hoped for and more.
:D

Being married has opened up countless possibilities and I've been blessed with a whole new light.
I've been lost and now i'm found.

Working from my very own home office has it's own advantages. Been busy studying, learning, researching, practising, designing and working my way to realize my dream and yet, still able to be the young homemaker i aspire to be. So yes, i've been busy but I'm good! :D Purchased a sewing machine months and picked up sewing, and i couldn't be happier. With that, everything else just comes rolling and falls into place. The saying, "Just do the things you love and you'll feel whole" couldn't be further from the truth.
Never understood the concept and now i do.

And now, baby steps, and eventually i'll get there.
This is my journey.
